Geometry Dash's synchronizing with music is one of its most intriguing features. Every level features a track that plays while the player is negotiating the course; the obstacles are made to complement the beat of the music. Players feel as though they are in harmony with the music while attempting to avoid spikes, jumps, and other hazards, so producing a particularly immersive experience. The game's rhythm-based character adds still another level of difficulty since players have to not only perfect their jumping timing but also predict the challenges that show up in perfect harmony with the melody.
