3400 tons/day with a 300 tons/hr pneumatic unloader requires at least 20 hrs/day operation.
It is very important to state the ship size to be unloaded.
An unloader for a 25000 dwt ship is significantly bigger than an unloader for a 5000 dwt sized ship.
Whether there are technically reliable unloaders on the market, check the quality of the design and condition of the unloader in relation to the operating hours per annum, allowing time for maintenance.
Check also, whether the unit is fit for the local circumstances (mainly temperature and humidity)
The conveying pipeline geometry (diameter and length) is also of great influence.
The compressor on board of the unloader might be too small and you need then to install a booster compressor.
The advice is to contact suppliers for a quotation and be critical.

Cement Ship Unloader Wanted
Dear Dr. Wohlbier,
We are a Cement Company with a capacity of 3400 t/d. Our Company is based in Iran. We would like to buy and install a ship unloader 300 t/h which is movable to unload cement from ship to truck.We have office in dubai and it would not be difficult to make a contract. We prefer to buy a used ship unloader with a good working condition. If the machinery is anywhere in the Middle-East or in the Gulf area this would be fine. We are planning to use it in Iraq.
