Structural Crusher House with RCC Flooring

Posted in: , on 17. Oct. 2016 - 14:25

Dear Board Members

Greetings to All,

After a long time I am posting some queries related to Crusher House which we are building in the Steel with every floor with RCC platform.

This crusher house is with 11 nos of floors having a height of 60 mts. We have completed the Basic and Detailed Engineering for the same and shortly we shall start the fabrication.

This is one of the largest crusher house we have built till now and we are trying to overcome all the challenges related with all the department. One of the fore- seen challenge is laying the RCC concrete over the steel floor. With respect to laying the concrete there is not a single opinion within us. Some are of the view to lay the RCC concrete floor wise as we move upward with erection of the crusher house while some have put forth their view cast after the complete erection of the crusher house with all the equipment.

My request to the board member is to put some light and if case pros & cons in each case if possible.

Thanks in advance for having view this thread and putting your views on it.

Sequence

Dear Mr. Bartakke,

a sketch or drawing of the house, with main dimensions and access routes as well as environmental information, would certainly improve the comprehensibility of your request.

It is certainly challenging to lay RCC inhouse in a multiple storey building, and onto storey floors being steel platforms. Considering the limitations in space, one presumes an irregular and interrupted floor contour with installations, machine foundations, columns etc. and also the deflection and vibration behaviour of the platforms themselves.

sequential laying pros

- in order to get in the concrete and also the special compacting equipment there could be advantage in access through lifting in by crane

- coordination with general building planning and sequence is best

laying after completion pros

- to assure stable concrete - laying and compacting conditions

- the closing-off of the area from environment

- less possible damage through building activities

Dear Mr. Bartakke,

In my opinion You first cast All RCC Floors from bottom to top. Pl ensure All Base plates/insert of Pulley frames and other Heavy duty Frames to be Welded with Steel beams before casting of RCC floor .
