Material:Salt

Density:0.971

Angle of repose:45

Stack capability:600t/h

Reclaim capability:400t/h

Store capability:90,000 t

Dose anybody can tell me the diameter of stockyard ?

Ø Conical pile = 89m

Ø Radial pile = 98m : 360° without central access.

Neither of these piles are meaningful without knowing your height limitations.

If you can accept a height of 20m then the pile will be Ø114m & this will allow you to use a floor mounted radial stacker with a conveying angle of 22.4°. To stack the full circle you would need tunnel(s) & this would be adequate for maintenance, however major.

Getting much of this calculation , I got this problem also calculating diameter on my yard and to the storage room.

Hello,

Your requirement is to create salt stockpile of huge capacity. It is also important that it should accompany the reclaiming system to suit the need for the demand of material. Very tall stockpile like a mini hill cannot be reclaimed by ground operating general machines like bull dozer and payloader. So also think about the appropriate reclaiming system.

Radial stacker along with the scrapper type reclaimer are regularly used for creating circular stockpile particularly for blending of lime stone in cement plant. TransTech publication mentions this type of circular stockpile by PHB, capacity 40000 tonne and the system diameter 77 m. This means there is a triangular stockpile of about 32 m base having peak at the radius of 21 m and spanning probably around 270 degree. Such stockpile are suitable for covering (shed) of the entire system. They have also mentioned that such stockpile upto 100000 tonne can be also made. You may refer to the manufacturers of stockyard machines.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

4/5-80 percent of your hypothesis and experiment is missing

I can and will tell you your asking questions for a pursuit that requires a

qualified mechanical engineer and payment for same.

First it will not work.

Second YOUR 45 degree angle of repose will not work for salt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully the boat has already sailed on this thread: unless he was making an advanced booking with Air Asia.

Stockyards have a central function in the field of materials handling. They serve as material buffers, reserve or blending storage between mining, processing and transhipping. They balance out fluctuations in the quantity and quality of raw materials. ..
