Dear Shri Banerjee,

The reply to your answer can only be subjective in nature.

First one has to decide his requirement of blending efficiency in conjunction with batch size. It is known that the barrel type reclaimer is having high blending effect. However, your aim would not be the best blending effect, but the blending effect, which falls within your requirement.

If both the machines blending effect is within your requirement, then both the machines become technically acceptable to you. In the event if one is not complying to your requirement of blending effect, its technical evaluation will have the price loading of technical shortfall. This technical price loading is to be worked out considering the money loss by having relatively inferior blending effect. In this situation, finally one has to compare the evaluated price.

The steel plants use both the type of machines viz. multiple bucket-wheel on bridge as well as barrel type reclaimers. Apart from the blending effect, there are other relative advantages and disadvantages of marginal nature. Finally, it is the buyer’s choice and the expertise of the supplier of the equipment, which matters.
