We have three old Loesche roller grinding mlls (LM14/18/21) in our fertilizer complex. I am doing a research on Phosphate grinding an have some questions about vertical roller grinding mills.

1. What happens to the grinding unit energy costs if the wear parts are not renewed although they are eroded unevenly.
2. One of our vertical roller mills accept particles upto 45 mm in size as specification papers states. We are pre-screening the phosphate rock before grinding. The +10 mm particles are not fed to the mill. What happens if the screens are changed in order to let -45 mm particles to the mill other than decrease in capacity? What happens to wearing of the wear parts? Will it be increased? Is it better to accomodate a crusher to crush the portion of +10 mm?
