True Low Velocity Conveying
After 2 years development I have developed a true Low Velocity transfer system (in Dune Flow Mode) for handling all granulated products including plastic pellets, breadcrumbs, all grains, granulated foods and abrasive products.
Product velocities are in the order of 2-3m/sec and mass ratio is 25:1 (25 kg of product to 1 kg of air). The system resembles a conventional lean phase system (RV infeed) and meets the same duties and is only slightly more expensive.
Existing lean phase systems can be retrofitted with this technology to convert them without touching the existing piping.
A test rig is available for demonstrations and the following pictures show the dunes in the piping :

I can also send a video CD for anyone interested in the technology. ■
