Hydorpharm - Inline moisture measurement system for pharmaceutical applications

The Fluid Bed Moisture Analyser hydorpharm by Döscher & Döscher/ AMS is the innovative inline moisture analyser for fluidised bed systems.

In contrast to the Near Infrared Method (NIR) the hydorpharm is insensitive to contamination of the sensor surface and measures the dampness of the fluidized bed particles independent of density, size, structure and colour.

After a calibration by means of a reference method (e.g. Loss Of Dry method (LOD) or the Karl Fischer Tritration) the product moisture is continuously supervised until the target moisture is reached. It’s not necessary to clean the sensor surface during the process. Thereby a careful drying of granulates, pellets and coating particles is feasible. The hydorpharm provides all measured values standard signals (4-20 mA). This allows further processing in external control devices, e.g. visualizations.

Advantages

•Inline moisture measurement of powders and granulates in fluidized-bed systems

•Measurement of skin and core moisture

•Independent of density, structure, and color

•Insensitive to deposits on the sensor

•Simple calibration with long-term stability

•Similar products can be combined into groups

•GMP- and FDA-compliant design

•Available with explosion protection

•Available pressure-proof up to 11 bar

•Available for working temperatures up to 80°C

The following solutions exist:

hydorpharm C100

The measuring system was conceived for middle to big production plants.

Over a standard flange is the hydorpharm fbma 100 connect with the fluidized bed dryer.

hydorpharm C32

The measuring system was conceived for small to middle laboratory and production plants. Over a standard clamping connecting piece is the hydorpharm fbma 32 connect with the fluidized bed dryer.
