AMECO8042 ameco.htm is proud to announce its contribution to the major rebuild of Siam Cellulose Co., Ltd.’s pulp mill in Wangsala, Kanchanaburi province, Thailand.
Siam Cellulose is a leading producer of hard wood pulp. The company is a subsidiary of SCG Paper, the largest integrated paper and corrugated containers producer in Southeast Asia.
The raw material for Siam Cellulose’s hard wood pulp production process is eucalyptus woodchips. To improve the management of its woodchip stockyard, Siam Cellulose directly contracted AMECO to deliver a circular stacker reclaimer. AMECO designed and manufactured the machine in Europe. It was successfully commissioned in 2014, under the watchful eye of AMECO’s erection and commissioning supervisors.
The circular stacker reclaimer delivered to Siam Cellulose is a remarkable piece of equipment, especially with regards to its size. The capacity of the woodchip stockpile is 150 000 m3, with a pile diameter of 120 m. The machine stacks the woodchips onto this pile at a rate of 300 TPH and recovers the material from the pile at a rate of 125 TPH. These figures make the machine one of the largest overpile stacker-reclaimers in the world in terms of pile capacity.
