I have a 60m3 hoppper lined with UHMWPE which experiences

mass flow over 3/4 of its length, from back towards the front.

We are finding some hangup near the front. Can anyone advise whether

vibration at the end of a load cycle would be an option?

Or simply compound the problem?

The discribed case is a clasic and well known problem of descharging divice and silo outlet dimansions. Both should be in relation to the material properteis and process requirements.

We in Dafna Eng. are handling such cases at our regular activities. Vibration is definatly no the solution. It will make things worther and un stable.

We would like to aske for a basic drawing of your instalation, in spite to submit you a detailed answer and basic instraction for your aplication.

This sounds as though the extracting device is not progressive along the whole length of the outle slot of the hopper. If a screw feeder is fitted the geometry of the screw flights are not properly proportioned. Vibration in such a case will only make matters worse. Email a sketch of all details available and of the product stored, and I will examine the prospects for retrofitt.

Last year this co.moved aprox.1,450,000 met.

tons of products in this facility. Some being

corrosive, with others being abrasive in nature.
