Does anybody know of a minimum quanitity of powder/dust required before one employs hazardous area classification (ATEX) rather than Good Safety Practices.
This relates to our dispensing of 2.5 kg quantities in an isolator (glove-box) and difficulties in getting appropriately rated scales to the accuracy required.
Though it may be possible to source scales, I am more interested in the wider question of when to emply hazardous area classification for such small quantities ■
