Evaluation BELTCOMP SOFTWARE

Posted in: , on 8. May. 2008 - 09:51

I acquired the program Beltcomp recently, I am working with him, upshots are good.

I project transporters of belt with 12.000ton/h capacity speed of 6m/s iron steel in Brazil, and upshots the Beltcomp are equal to the programs Belt Analyst, Beltstat, Helix Delta T and Probelt, softwares are expensive.

Considerations of the sir. P. Rekhawar in the forum commentaries.

1. Curvaure - Concave & convex is not considered in designing. The program supplies the curvature rays minima, You can consider in drawing other rays of conformable curvature as necessary;

2. The tension & profile plot outputs are having black back ground. The content is not legible.

The profile is good to analyze does not need better.

3. Pulley diameters are ignored for profile entering.

The program dimensions the pulleys what you input the software and recommends the pulleys and axises very little necessary.

4. Profile input is not user friendly.

5. The output as word file will be more useful.

The program exports for the excel, word and excel friendly

You can verify the upshots of the program and you comparing, is going to verify what upshots are good with a little acquisition price.

Resulted ones is what are important to dimension a conveyor belt, power, tension, pulleys, belt ... well, programs supply data to memorial level of calculation, that are afterwards used to detail in the software design.

The software supplies all the necessary exits that need for a conveyor belt.

Hi luiz.filho,

Thanks for a very thoughtful evaluation of the program.

If you are looking for quick answers for preliminary design you could try http://www.cospire.com/koviewer.aspx?id=13568. It's not very flash, but it's FREE - and you can adapt it to suit your average in-plant conveyor setup [not for long conveyors, although I've tried it for a 1.7 km decline conveyor. It still made sense more or less].

New Beltcomp Exce

Posted on 19. Dec. 2011 - 05:30

The new program is based on versatile Microsoft Excel platform backed by strong VBA so that it can use both Excel in-built strong features and classical visual basic programming features. Since Excel is supported by all the windows operating systems, the program has no barrier as far as operating system is concerned. It requires only the Beltcomp Excel exe file, one dll file (for machine identification) and one license file (for full version) to be placed in same folder. There are much improved features compared to original beltcomp program. Trial version will demonstrate all the features. Please visit www.beltcomp.com and see for yourself by downlaoding trial version.
