Quartz Silica Dust

Posted in: , on 5. Jun. 2015 - 12:48

Hi

any one have experience of trapping quartz silica dust ? are Polyester bags suit to this application ?

dust generation density is very higher , there for we plan to use bag house dust collector with pule jet cleaning system.

Polyester bags in a bag house are suitable. Silica dust is highly abrasive. Conservative design is essential. You will need the help of an experienced designer to design the ducting, the bag house and the dust disposal system.

Thanks Mr. Michael

if we keep 25 m/s average transport velocity and balance duct arrangement with dampers is it ok ?

Design ducting for maximum 20 m/s, minimum 18 m/s otherwise you will wear out your ducting prematurely. Make the bends have conservative radius (centreline 2 x diameter). The bend material thickness should be 2 x ducting thickness. Consult closely with your baghouse supplier on the details of construction, especially the inlet connection. For instance, inlet velocity max. 15 m/s.

Good luck.

A Cyclone And Filter To Trape Dust

Posted on 15. Jun. 2015 - 08:41

Dear Uditha:

I am Charlie in Leemeasure. I have 30 years for process and engineering for international project. I suggest maybe you not only need a filer (bag house) but a cyclone.

I put a drawing in attached, If you can't see it please contact me by leemeasure@126.com. It is my special design for trapping the high density dust.

Regards

Quartz Silica Dust Used With Kf-D

Dear Uditha,

Quartz Silica Dust used with KF-D

Yes, it can be used with KF-D. Water ratio might need adjustment based on dryness of aggregates.

KF-D will work as a soil compaction admixture Quartz Silica Dust .

http://www.kalmatron.com/5-KF-D.html

KALMATRON® KF-D

Kalmatron® KF-D is a light gray powder with a specific smell, which disappears after application. Similar to KF-C, this product is to be used for very specific applications such as improving cement containing EarthMaterials-Sealants (EMS). The application of KF-D chemically changes the structure of soil and building material liners by increasing the density of the mixture and decreasing its hydraulic conductivity (ease with which water can move through it). The degree of improvement depends on the initial density of the structure. For crumbling soil, it is almost 100 times as effective as for untreated soil in stopping leaks and moisture flow or seepage.

Quartz Silica Dust used with KF-D

• KF-D is ideal for improving the compaction and impermeability of soil;

• Reduces hydraulic conductivity of most known soils up to 98.2%;

• When added to standard EMS mixes, it can be injected into sinkholes, foundations, tunnels, dams, wet and polluted soils;

• Improves binding with standard concrete fillers and particles of soil;

• Stops leaks and prevents future leaks by increasing density;

• Completely reduces bubbling of standard mixture;

• Hardening time is adjustable by using different amounts of KF-D; and

• KF-D does not affect the environment.

hi Dilip ,

problem is we need to extract silica processing dust at roller magnetic separator , we propose filter bag house , clients wants to shaker type cleanning system ? I think shaker type is not viable for this application , we recommended pulse jet ? we need to expert advise ?

but I am very interesting your KF- D product, we can promote this construction peopople . can you send product brocher and pricing informations
