Yes, we have extensive experience in iron ore dust suppression and collection. The video was not explicit in describing the problem. Do you have drawings?

Primary Crusher Dust Control

You must start with Trellex dust sealing system (Metso Minerals). Moisture added at the dump pocket will help. The jaw crusher will need enclosure and dust extraction, at least on the following conveyor.

Primary Crushing Department

Dear Mr. Reid,

I agree with you enclosing the media should be done for dedusting. but as you know material size in this department is about 1000 mm and if a bigger rock come to the jaw crusher mouth, the operator should break it or pull it out.

Meanwhile for operating and maintenance access of grizzly screen, I think operator should see top of the screen and we can not enclose it.

I have search internet and I have not found any similar cases where they have enclosed grizzly and jaw crusher.

so would you please inform me:

if you had any similar cases?

for grizzly screen and jaw crusher, dust suppression is better or dust collection?

Any Picture

Do you have any pictures show how much dust control for similar case were succeed?

Dust Suppression Or Dust Collection

Posted on 18. May. 2011 - 12:08

I guess in this case dust suppression will be more effective than dust collection which need complete enclosing(and we will miss our access for fast maintenance).

what is the normal solution?

what is your experience? especially for this scale of grizzly sceen and jaw crusher

Dust Suppression Or Dust Collection

If you can't live with enclosures, apply dust suppression sprays on the feeder and grizzly as well as the dump pocket. This will not be as effective as enclosures and dust collection.

Be careful not to add too much water in one spot. Provide controls to turn off the water when material flow stops.

Don't bother with chemical additions. Not worth the cost.

Have you thought about enclosing the assembly and placing a video camera within the enclosure?

The video could be fitted with a positive pressure container to keep dust from poluting the focus.

Dust control with a viewer. The enclosure could also be fitted with a dust collector for very abusive dust.

Camera Inside Enclosure

yes, we have thought about using camera inside enclosure which should be night vision camera but still there is a big problem:

there is probability of throwing stones from grizzly and strike to camera.
