We’re pleased to announce that Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products’ acquisition of Poly Hi Solidur from Menasha Corporation was completed formally on August 3, 2005.
There have been many questions about what’s next, from all customers of both companies including those we both serve.
For the immediate future both companies will operate exactly as they did before this change in ownership. Contact the same people for service, support and order activity. We need to learn a lot internally before we can operate as a single company, and it will be a deliberate process -- probably taking more time than we expect, in the interest of getting it done right. Meanwhile, it’s business as usual.
Our first priority is to get to know the people in both organizations, so we can do the best job of meshing our teams where it makes sense, and preserving skills that the specialized businesses require. All of this is important to our employees and our customers as well.
There is also a lot to be learned about our customers – especially those where either - but not both - of our companies serve as a supplier. We will begin that with many of you soon.
Our strong belief is that decisions were made and loyalties earned over the years for very valid reasons. Both companies are successful because of the working relationships built with you over time. We respect that history and intend to find the best way to build on it.
The ink is just dry on the agreement, and we’ll do our best to update you as we proceed. If you have specific questions, please contact either of us. We may not have all the answers today, but the more we learn, the better we can address your questions in the future.

Die Quadrant AG ist ein weltweit führender Hersteller von Halbzeugen und Fertigteilen aus thermoplastischen Hochleistungswerkstoffen. Nach der Übernahme wird Quadrant mit weltweit über 2300 Mitarbeitern an 40 Standorten vertreten sein.
Die Übernahme des Quadrant-Logos soll den ersten Schritt der Zusammenführung beider Unternehmen darstellen. Für Sie als unsere Kunden bedeutet diese Übernahme zunächst keine Veränderungen sondern „business as usual“. Beide Unternehmen werden bis auf weiteres weiterhin eigenständig in ihren Geschäftsfeldern arbeiten und ihr Produkt- und Service-Angebot beibehalten. Ihre Ansprechpartner bei Poly Hi Solidur bleiben unverändert.
Langfristig erwarten sowohl Quadrant als auch Poly Hi Solidur von diesem Zusammenschluss wesentliche Vorteile für die Kunden: eine umfangreichere Produktpalette, erweiterte Werkstoff- und Anwendungskenntnisse sowie optimierte Nutzung der gemeinsamen Ressourcen.
