Formation of The Anhydro Group

Anhydro, Dedert and Simatek combine to become world-class provider of evaporation and drying technologies.

Today, The Anhydro Group of companies is created to provide world-class evaporation and drying solutions to the dairy, food, beverage, brewery, pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial sectors.

Combining Anhydro (formerly part of the APV group, a subsidiary of Invensys), the Dedert Corporation (including Drytec) and Simatek, the new Group has been created at the initiative of two world authorities in evaporation and drying technology:

- Ole Andersen, former President of GEA Niro ('78-97) and York International ('97-02), who becomes the chairman of the new Anhydro Group; and

- Per Jespersen, former Managing Director of APV Anhydro A/S ('88-97) and President of the Toftejorg Group ('98-03), who becomes CEO.

The APV group has been and will remain a critical contributor to the development of this world-leading industry specialist. Simultaneous with Anhydro's transfer to The Anhydro Group, APV and the new business enter into a Strategic Co-operation Agreement to ensure superior technology development and customer project execution.

Mike Hennessy, President of APV Solutions and Services, commented:

"This is right for our customers and right for APV. The new Anhydro Group will specialise in developing evaporation and drying technologies and will have the critical mass to compete and deliver, globally. Our Strategic Co-operation Agreement gives APV access to those technologies and ensures that our customers benefit from the ability of APV and The Anhydro Group to satisfy their complete needs for liquid and powder processing."

Ole Andersen, Chairman of The Anhydro Group, said:

”The new Anhydro Group will serve the relevant industrial sectors globally, focusing on evaporation and drying technologies and enabling The Anhydro Group to service the customers effectively. The Strategic Co-operation Agreement with APV provides excellent opportunities for The Anhydro Group to access APV’s technologies and to be able to continue to service the customers better in the future”.

Per Jespersen, CEO of the Anhydro Group, commented:

"From the very outset, The Anhydro Group will be a leading global player within its field of commercial offerings.

The Strategic Co-operation Agreement entered into with APV will strengthen both APV and The Anhydro Group within their key market sectors."
