Screw Take Up

normally we are using 40M as the maximum length of the conveyor with screw takeup arrangement.but as per IS 11592:2000 you can go upto 60m.

The MHEA design guide suggests 80m as the max length with screw tensioning.

We have had this topic on a previous thread..

If you look it up, you will see that we were involved with a 1km long conveyor with a "stretched and locked" take-up, which worked fine.

That's the difference between making equipment, testing it and understanding it, and working to guidelines someone has published in a book for the world and his wife to use

I suppose we could all be overnight experts if we read a book or two?...Not so...

Either you know materials handling or you don't. It takes a lot of time.
