Material to be stored with size, bulk density.
Silo Capacity
Steel silo or Conc. silo.
Type of feeding system.
Feeding rate
Extraction rate.
Actually speaking silo mechanical system means system/equipment required for feeding and extraction of material from the silo like- Bucket elevators,Airslides.dust collectors,various types of valves,weighing systems,screw conveyors ect.

Silo Design
dear all,
as my user name indicates a fresh mechanical engineer is found himself in big project like silo, I have no-info about the silos except its used to store the grains, can you help me in what mechanical engineer are interested in soils design and if anyone have any example about soils mechanical systems can he provide me???
