Premier Tech Chronos has recently undertaken work with leading Irish food company, Valeo Foods Group in Dublin. This project has seen a SpeedAC NXT controller retrofitted onto a double screw fed E-SERIES Nett weigher, at their facility at Merrywell Industrial Estate, Ballymount, Dublin.
The Valeo Foods Group boasts a diverse portfolio of leading consumer brands and is focused on the development of iconic food brands in the Irish and international grocery market. The Valeo Foods brand portfolio includes iconic Irish brands such as: Batchelors, Chef, Erin, Jacobs, Odlums, Fruitfield, Old Time Irish, Sqeez and Shamrock.
The SpeedAC NXT controller replaced a Chronos Richardson supplied SpeedAC 8 bagging controller. The SpeedAC NXT is fitted with an Ethernet card, which enables the weighing information to be sent directly to a plant PC; thereby cutting out the need for paper records of the weighments.

Engineers from Premier Tech Chronos worked with Valeo to ensure that the protocols to undertake this information transfer were quickly integrated into the existing plant control and data capture systems.
This latest Premier Tech Chronos retrofit / upgrade has enabled the Valeo Foods Group to maximise the use of their existing weighing system mechanics, whilst upgrading their control system, with the SpeedAC NXT that fully complies with Weights & Measures regulatory standards
