Key players in the plastics, rubber and shoe-making industries are excited about reconnecting with international buyers at TaipeiPLAS & ShoeTech Taipei 2024. According to the organizer TAITRA, the scale of the 2024 event is expecting a full recovery to pre-pandemic levels. “The goal is to attract 500 exhibitors in 2,500 booths and more than 2,000 international trade visitors,” said TAITRA.
In recent years, the plastics and shoe-making industries have accelerated the transformation towards net-zero as their customers and many international brands have proposed commitments and goals for low-carbon and recycled content products, and have promoted carbon management throughout the supply chain. Consequently, global trends are driving the industry’s focus on practices such as material innovation, energy-saving, waste reductions and resource recycling in the manufacturing process.
In alignment with the low-carbon commitment, TaipeiPLAS 2024 adopts a new slogan “Shaping All PLASbility” to underscore the industry’s dedication to sustainability leadership. In addition to comprehensive exhibits of smart machinery and new materials, 2024 TaipeiPLAS is launching brand-new themed areas: "Eco Service & Sustainable Packaging" and "Low-carbon & Green." These areas will showcase dynamic innovations and applications in various sectors, including smart mobility, medical supplies, aerospace, and green building.
