My wife and I have just returned from the Shanghai Powder & Bulk Conference & Exhibition 2005 and would like to share our impressions with you.

We agree with the many participants we talked to that this venue was successful and should be continued in the future. We did hear, however, also complaints that the number of visitors must be increased in the future. Also, the organizers should be careful not to stage this event too often, i.e. at too short time intervals. All major powder/bulk exhibitions/conferences have reduced the frequency of their events: Chicago's Powder/Bulk Show went to a 2-year term and Nuremberg's POWTECH opted for an 18 months period. This trend is certainly welcomed by industry which cannot show new developments each year, and which is also under severe fincancial constraints.

An official Closing Report by the Organizers will follow at this place in a few weeks.

Meanwhile, please have a look at our photos and correct us, if necessary, or offer supplementary information. We can only give you a brief impression of this event, and suggest you try to participate the next time to get the full story.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the organizers and especially to Mr. Xing Lan, Director, and his Staff, as well as to Mrs. Claudia Schreglmann of NürnbergMesse, who was in charge of the POWTECH Pavillion. You will see several photos of these and other persons later on.
