Safe Silo Cleaning
Before employing our powerful Acoustic Cleaners to prevent further material build up within silos, the silos require to be cleaned. In the past, manual silo cleaning provided a slow and dangerous cleaning regime which on many occasions resulted in death or severe injury to plant personnel.
Primasonics® can provide a safe, remote, highly effective solution both to deal with total silo discharge blockage with the Prima Lance™ and for non-intrusive silo cleaning the Prima Whip™ attached to recovering materials that will not flow freely from silos and hoppers are well known. Materials such as cement, gypsum, coal and screenings all have properties that under certain conditions will cause them to cling to silo walls creating hang ups and blockages. These blockages create delays in production, loss of storage capacity and in some cases have resulted in serious and fatal accidents.
It is now possible to remotely and safely clear the blockages without the need for operatives to ever enter the silo - and in a highly rapid and effective manner. Both the Prima Whip™ and Prima Lance™ and for non-intrusive silo cleaning the Prima Whip™ are constructed from non-sparking aluminium and the power motors are powered by plant compressed air therefore totally eliminating any risk of dust explosion within the silo being unblocked and cleaned. The equipment is portable, lightweight and maneuverable.
Safely clear the toughest build ups without the need for men to enter the silo, with efficient and safe results. Our special equipment has been developed to tackle virtually all materials including cement, clinker, grain and coal. Due to the design and nature of some silos, the machine is constructed of non-sparking aluminium which in turn provides lightweight manoeuvrability.
