Great Western manufactures sifters or screeners used for scalping, grading or fines removal from most dry, free-flowing powders or granular materials. The equipment uses a horizontal gyratory sifting action that is recognized as being the most efficient for precision separations. Typical applications range from 10 to 200 mesh.
The equipment includes single sieve stack machines as well as large multi-sieve stack machines with surface areas that range from 1.2 m2 to 100 m2. Depending on the type of machine and customer requirements, the sifters can be configured to make from 2 to 8 separations.
Applications range from their traditional utilization in flour mills and corn mills to mix plants and bakeries, confectionery starch, spice processing, plastics, chemicals, minerals, metal powders, pet foods, and woodfibers.
